After considering their options, West revealed that they decided to keep North after God delivered a message to him while working on his laptop in Paris.

He said that Kim ‘had the pills in her hand’, he continued: ‘My screen went black and white. And God said, “If you f*** with my vision, I f*** with yours”. And I called my girlfriend and said, “We’re going to have this child.”

West added that if wife Kim were to ‘divorce’ him after his abortion claims, he would be at peace as they brought daughter North into the world.

Also during his speech, West noted that his late mother Donda  ‘saved’ him by resisting his father’s overtures for her to get an abortion.

‘My Mum saved my life. My Dad wanted to abort me,’ he said. ‘There would have been no Kanye West. Because my Dad was too busy.’

West spent much of the time discussing abortion, and announced that he wanted women to be given money by the government for bearing children, to discourage abortion.

He said: ‘Abortion should be legal but the option of maximum increase should be available. Everybody who has a baby gets a million dollars or something.’

He also said he wished to meet with George Soros to discuss building houses, and with Mark Zuckerberg to talk about improving internet connectivity in Africa.

But he shocked the crowd and drew condemnation when he said Harriet Tubman did not free slaves, but ‘just had the slaves go work for other white people’.

West declared his candidacy earlier this month in an Independence Day tweet which read: ‘We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future.’

He said he was ‘running for president of the United States’ against President Donald Trump and presumed Democratic nominee Joe Biden.

An insider told US Weekly that West ‘believes he can be a bridge between Republicans and Democrats’ amid the divisive times.

‘Kanye believes in supporting big-business tax breaks but also more stimulus and opportunities for minorities and Black people,’ the insider said.

Recent reports claim that West’s bipolar disorder has ‘impacted his decision-making’ and has left his family ‘very concerned.’

A source told TMZ that the rapper is in the midst of a manic episode caused by bipolar disorder – a condition that he has been open about in the past.

In 2016 West spent time in hospital after a ‘psychiatric emergency’ and was forced to cancel 21 concert dates.
