MTV held their first virtual Video Music Award ceremony on Sunday, which honored the visual works produced by some of the biggest names in music.
And new mother Katy Perry put her own hilarious spin on the award show’s famous step-and-repeat photo format, while displaying her post-baby body on Instagram.
In the snapshot, the 35-year-old pop star only had on a nude nursing bra and a pair of grey high-waisted underwear as she posed in her bathroom mirror, five days after giving birth.
Making the best of it: Katy Perry put her own hilarious spin on the MTV VMA’s famous step-and-repeat, while displaying her post-baby body on Instagram
‘Hair and makeup by: @exhaustion,’ captioned Perry jokingly, while also tagging the makers of her bra and underwear.
The Teenage Dream singer’s hair was styled into a messy low ponytail as she prepared to pump for her newborn daughter Daisy Dove,
Katy’s skin looked enviably clear and the tired singer stood with one arm out to her side as she confidently displayed her post-baby body.

Although she was unable to attend Sunday night’s event, Katy was undoubtedly happy to be at home with her newborn daughter Daisy Dove, whom she welcomed into the world on Wednesday.

The Grammy Award nominee shares her first child with fiance Orlando Bloom, 43. Bloom also has a nine-year-old son Flynn with ex Miranda Kerr, 37.
Katy and Orlando, who first started dating in 2016, got engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2019.
A day after giving birth, Katy celebrated the release of her fifth studio album Smile, which hit shelves and music streaming platforms on Friday.

As part of her Smile Video Series, Perry flaunted her ‘pre-baby body’ in the disco-inspired music video for her infectious track Champagne Problems.
‘Make-ups to the breakups, times we coulda gave up,’ she sings, nodding to Bloom, in the footage shot last year.
‘We put the dirty work in, so now we know it’s worth it/ Cause, baby, all we got are champagne problems now.’

She previously opened up about the song referring to her relationship with her baby daddy to Billboard.
‘It’s a song that really talks about how intense it’s gotten and how many things we have had to go through. Yes, we have problems. Everybody has challenges in a relationship. If it’s a real relationship, it’s going to challenge you into your best self.
‘I really understand what Justin Timberlake said about, ‘You’re my mirror,’ because it’s true. They bring up all this stuff you can’t really see about yourself,’ she explained.
