Madonna ‘visits FIVE countries in just three weeks’ amid strict coronavirus travel restrictions

Madonna has reportedly visited five countries in just three weeks clocking up a massive 11,707 air miles, despite Covid travel bans.

The Queen of Pop is said to have flown from Los Angeles to London then to Malawi and Kenya in east Africa as part of a lavish winter trip.

The singer, 62, has been accompanied on the getaway by her boyfriend, American backing dancer Ahlamalik Williams, 26.

She was also joined for much of the trip by five of her children.

On Christmas Eve, she, Williams and her four adopted children – David Banda, 15, Mercy James, 14, and twins Estere and Stella, both eight – flew from LA to London.

There they collected Madonna’s eldest son Rocco, 20, her only child from her marriage to British director Guy Ritchie, who joined the group on their visit to Africa. 

On December 28, the group flew to Malawi, where she adopted the children, via a stopover in Egypt. 

It is believed the singer’s personal photographer, Ricardo Gomes, was also flown out to capture the holiday.

They spent a week in Malawi where they met with President Lazarus Chakwera, mixed with locals and visited a hospital which Madonna founded.

On Wednesday they flew to Kenya to go on safari.

Yesterday, she shared a video of herself and Williams with the Pokot tribe of western Kenya. 

Sources close to Madonna told The Sun the family have all been taking regular coronavirus tests. 

The singer, who is worth £630million, is believed to have travelled by private jet.

As of this week, all passengers arriving in the UK must present negative Covid-19 tests taken up to 72 hours prior to departure.

This was not in place when Madonna arrived in London in December, but 10-day mandatory self-isolation for US arrivals was.  

However, since December, ‘high-value business travellers’ have been exempt from quarantine rules in the UK ‘subject to specific criteria being met’.

Travellers arriving in Malawi and Kenya do not have to quarantine as long as they have negative coronavirus tests. 

MailOnline has contacted a representative for Madonna for comment.  

All four of Madonna’s adopted children hail from Malawi, and the singer has been spending time in their home country, which she calls her ‘home away from home’. 

She capped off her week in Malawi with her four youngest children by visiting the Jacaranda School for Orphans near Blantyre. 

The Queen of Pop was officially at the school to cut the ribbon at the grand opening of the Madame X Dance Studio.

Madge proudly posed beside the sign at the studio – which was paid for through non-profit organisation Raising Malawi – which she co-founded with Michael Berg in 2006. 

Since arriving in Kenya, Madonna and her family have been spending time with the Pokot Tribe in the Baringo Valley. 

Madonna shared a stunning video showing their visit to the tribe, which she shared alongside a caption gushing over the experience. 

She penned: ‘Visiting the Pokot Tribe in the Baringo Valley was a special moment for all of us. They invited us to dance with them and shared their daily prayer of thanks’. 

Two days before, the group met with the Samburu Tribe, with the meeting also being recorded on video, while she added another impassioned message. 

She wrote: ‘Spending time with the Samburu tribe is always an honor. They are nomadic warriors and here the men are singing, dancing and telling stories to attract the attention of the females.’ 

Madonna adopted David in 2006 when he was 13-months old. He was born in the village of Lipunga, which is located in Western Malawi, Africa.

She previously spoke to Vogue about their similarities, saying: ‘What he has more than anything is focus and determination. I’m pretty sure he got it from me.’

Mercy, also from Malawi, was adopted in 2007 when she was four and suffering from Malaria. 

Mercy previously told her mother: ‘Even though sometimes I’m like, “Oh my god, I can’t deal right now.” But I really love you and I want to thank you for everything, Mom.

‘I know you’re going through a hard time right now with your hip and all the injuries, but I want to say that you’re a really strong person. 

‘You deserve everything you want.’

Her youngest – Stella and Estere – were adopted from Malawi at the start of 2017. 

They lived in the Home of Hope orphanage in Mchinji for two years before their adoption.

When asked what drew her to her kids, Madonna said: ‘It’s inexplicable. Why do you fall in love with the people you fall in love with?’ You look into the eyes of somebody, you feel their soul, you feel touched by them — that’s it.’
