Police in New Jersey have launched an investigation into a topless photo of Kellyanne Conway’s 16-year-old daughter that was posted to the former Trump aide’s Twitter on Monday.

Claudia had accused her mother of leaking the image on Twitter’s newly launched Fleets feature, which deletes posts after 24 hours, Monday night.

The teen later walked back her comments Tuesday, insisting in videos on TikTok that Kellyanne ‘would never intentionally do that’ and said her account was probably ‘hacked’.

Four officers with the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and Alpine Police Department were seen arriving at the Conway family’s mansion in Alpine, New Jersey, just before noon on Tuesday.

They were inside the home for around an hour before leaving at 1.10pm.

In a statement to DailyMail.com, Alpine Police Chief Christopher Belcolle confirmed that a probe into the apparent leak is underway.

‘An investigation is being conducted. No additional information can be released,’ Belcolle said.

Twitter told Variety it is also investigating the matter. The social media giant said its currently unsure how long the post was visible, how many people saw it, and who deleted it.

Claudia Conway tells her mother she’s ‘going to f***ing jail’ after topless photo is shared

In a series of videos posted to TikTok on Monday, Claudia warned her mother Kellyanne, ‘you’re going to f***ing jail.’

In the clips, which have since been deleted, Claudia accused her mother of taking a picture of image to ‘use against her’ some day.

‘Anytime she’s taken it, she takes it all the time,’ Claudia, who turned 16 in October, said. ‘She took a picture of that so that was on her phone and I guess she accidentally posted it or somebody hacked her, but nobody would ever have any photo like that ever.

‘I’m shaking. I don’t know what to do,’ the visibly upset teen continued. ‘Nobody would ever have that photo. Ever. It was on my phone. I don’t think I’ve ever sent it to anyone.’

Claudia added: ‘So, I’m assuming that my mom took a picture of it to use against me one day and then somebody hacked her or something because there’s no physical, possible way that anybody would have that photo of me.’

The teenager found out about the alleged leaked photograph from comments on TikTok on Monday and initially said she didn’t know if it was a joke.

‘I don’t know if this is a joke or not, but I’m like really scared,’ Claudia, who appeared to have been crying, said in response to the comment.

‘If this is a joke, please shut the f*** up. If it’s not… bye.’

In videos posted to her official TikTok page Monday, Claudia confirmed the topless image was authentic and claimed that Kellyanne had been keeping it to ‘use against [her] someday’.

The teen warned her mother she was ‘going to f***ing jail’ for uploading the image.

The allegations came just days after Claudia threatened to release ‘hours and hours’ of footage which she alleged proves Kellyanne is an ‘abusive’ mother. Police also visited the Conway family home on January 20 in response to a ‘juvenile matter’, after the claims of abuse were made.

However, Claudia later reversed course Tuesday and apologized for publicly accusing her mother.

Claudia said she had acted ‘irrationally’ and insisted her mother would ‘never intentionally’ post anything on social media to harm her. She also said she believes her mother was hacked.

‘I have faith and I know my mother would never put something like that on the internet, same with me,’ Claudia said in one clip. ‘My mother and I, we fight like mothers and daughters but we also love like mothers and daughters and I do love her.’

In a separate video posted Tuesday, Claudia continued: ‘Yesterday when I was made aware of the situation, I was distraught and reacted very irrationally and impulsively and it’s something that I do regret.

‘I know that my mom would never, ever post anything to hurt me like that intentionally and I do believe she was hacked.’

Claudia also pleaded with her 1.6 million followers to ‘stop contacting authorities’ and stop ‘inciting violence and hate’ against her family.

‘Please stop calling authorities because it only hurts us, more than it helps us – making threats, and what not, is really putting my safety at risk and putting me in danger,’ she said.

‘I get you’re trying to help me, but by putting my family in danger you’re also putting me in danger.

‘So please stop with that, we’re going to handle this privately and I will never ever be speaking about this publicly.’

Claudia added that she and Kellyanne are both taking time away from social media to ‘work on [their] relationship offline.’

‘I will be taking a break because social media is a really dark place. So instead of shedding light on this situation, hate and violence was incited. And that was never ever my intention, nor my mom’s.

‘We will not be dealing with this on social media anymore, and we are both going to take breaks [from social media] to work on our relationships because we do love each other, very, very, very much. And we would never intentionally try to hurt each other – especially not in the public eye.’

The teen also sought to preemptively stamp out speculation she had been forced by her parents to apologize.

‘Before you guys say this is forced, this isn’t forced. And we all do things and say things we don’t mean in the heat of the moment and out of fear and frustration and anxiety – and I’m sorry, it was not mature of me.’

Her father, George Conway, also posted a link to her videos on Twitter Tuesday, writing: ‘Our daughter Claudia asked me to tweet this statement for her.’

‘My mom would never, ever post anything to hurt me’: Claudia Conway’s apologizes to Kellyanne

Claudia posted four videos to TikTok on Tuesday morning apologizing to her mother for accusing her of intentionally leaking the topless image.

Below is the full transcript:

Video 1:

‘Hi guys, just wanted to come on here and address this situation. This isn’t forced, this is coming completely from me, Claudia. I have faith and I know my mother would never put something like that on the internet, same with me.

My mother and I we fight like mothers and daughters but we also love like mothers and daughters and I do love her.

I will be taking a break from social media because we are really tired of being headlines. We fight like mothers and daughters, but being in the public eye exacerbates that greatly and adds a lot of stress to both of our lives, and I don’t want that. I don’t want any drama. I don’t want any hate.

So I will be leaving social media for a bit to work on my relationships with my mom and my family. Please do not incite hate or violence on my family.

I love my mom and she loves me.’

Video 2:

‘Like I said in my last video, I will be taking a break because social media is a really dark place. So instead of shedding light on this situation, hate and violence was incited. And that was never ever my intention, nor my mom’s.

We will not be dealing with this on social media anymore, and we are both going to take breaks [from social media] to work on our relationships because we do love each other, very very very much. And we would never intentionally try to hurt each other – especially not in the public eye.

I just wanted to clear everything up. Please put an end to all of this. If you see a picture of me, report it. If you see anything about my mom and I, report it.

Please do me a favor and stop spreading this, because it hurts me more than it helps me – same with my mom. It hurts us. Thanks for understanding.’

Video 3:

‘Yesterday when I was made aware of the situation, I was distraught and reacted very irrationally and impulsively and it’s something that I do regret.

I know that my mom would never, ever post anything to hurt me like that intentionally and I do believe she was hacked.

On another note, I do want to apologize for making all of this public and the best option – the best path – for the both of us right now is to get off of social media and work on our relationship.

Before you guys say this is forced, this isn’t forced. And we all do things and say things we don’t mean in the heat of the moment and out of fear and frustration and anxiety – and I’m sorry, it was not mature of me.

We are going to work on our relationship offline.’

Video 4:

‘Please stop calling authorities because it only hurts us, more than it helps us – making threats, and what not is really putting my safety at risk and putting me in danger. I get you’re trying to help me, but by putting my family in danger you’re also putting me in danger.

So please stop with that, we’re going to handle this privately and I will never ever be speaking about this publicly.’

Claudia told her followers on Monday that the topless image of her was taken ‘months ago’, and said she believes her mother, 54, took a picture of it when she ‘took [her] phone’.

The 16-year-old then told her followers she’s ‘at a loss for words’, and urged them, ‘If you see it, report it.’

DailyMail.com has reached out to Kellyanne Conway for comment.

A representative for the New Jersey Department of Children and Families told BuzzFeed News that the agency is ‘looking into all the concerns around the incident.’

Claudia and Kellyanne have had numerous public fallings out and clashes over the last few months, with much of the drama documented on the teenager’s social media pages.

Last week, Claudia posted two videos to TikTok of a woman she claims to be Kellyanne, screaming and swearing at her.

Claudia claimed the heavily edited clips were a compilation of some of the ‘verbal abuse’ she has suffered at the hands of her mother.

‘I’m not looking for attention, I’m really not,’ Claudia said in a clip. ‘I’m looking for safety, that’s it.’

‘I couldn’t fit it all into a 60-second video,’ the teen explains. ‘I will release the full videos but they are hours and hours and hours long.’

‘I’ve literally shown you proof. If you want more proof, I’ll give you proof, but I don’t know what else to do.’

The former Trump adviser was not shown in the videos but she appears to tell Claudia she is lucky her mother is pro-life, as well as calling her a ‘b***h’, and an ‘a**hole’ who she is going to ‘beat the s**t out of.’

In the first video posted on TikTok last week, captioned ‘a covid recap with kelly’, Kellyanne allegedly calls Claudia an ‘a**hole’.

‘I can get you taken out of here today … [for the] stupid a** things you always say,’ the woman alleged to be Kellyanne is heard saying.

‘F**k you, what the f**k is wrong with you,’ Kellyanne later asks.

As it continues, Kellyanne is allegedly heard saying that Claudia should be glad she’s pro-life, that she can’t catch coronavirus from the president, and that Claudia will be put ‘in the only place that will take you and stop you from posting’.

Elsewhere in the videos, the woman thought to be Kellyanne tells Claudia: ‘You’re never gonna record another f*****g thing in your life, it’s going for forensic analysis’.

She also asks her ‘Do you know what you’ve done to yourself?’, before stating ‘they’re paying attention to you because they know you need extra help’, and ‘I want you out of here’.

‘You just lie to everyone and everyone sees it,’ she states at another point.

She directly addressed her mother in the clip posted early January and, in a separate video, also took aim at Mitch McConnell in the wake of the violent mob storming Congress on January 6.

In that video, which has already been viewed more than a million times, Claudia gloats ‘your party lost’ and repeatedly asks Kellyanne ‘how do you feel?’.

She said: ‘Hey mom, it’s Claudia. If you’re watching this, I don’t know where you are, you might be downstairs, upstairs, wherever, I haven’t seen you in a little bit.

‘How do you feel about your army becoming rioters, because I remember when I was going to protest in the summer you weren’t too happy with it, so how do you feel? I’m just wondering.

‘Also how do you feel that your party lost yesterday because I know you went to Georgia a few days ago to help campaign. How do you feel?’

She added: ‘Have you talked to your friend Mitch, the Senate majority, I mean minority leader. How does he feel?

‘Anyway mom if you see this come to my room, let’s talk, let’s talk it out. Let’s have a nice discussion.’

According to an OK! Magazine report, amid Claudia’s claims of abuse, officers from the Alpine Police Department responded to the Conway family home on January 20.

Police declined to share details but said the incident regarded a ‘juvenile matter’.

Claudia later posted a video of an officer visiting their home and her mother telling him her daughter was ‘upset’ because she had a ‘tough call with her school’. The video was later removed.

Claudia has repeatedly criticized her mother online for her conservative views and support of President Trump.

Her father George meanwhile has been an ardent critic of Trump, causing a rift in the Conway household. He was also a co-founder of the Lincoln Project, an anti-Trump Republican group which sought to stop him getting reelected.

Kellyanne left the White House in August after months of public family feuds in which Claudia even threatened to seek legal emancipation.

She said in a series of tweets that her mother’s job had ‘ruined her life’ after she previously called Trump ‘a f**king idiot’ and asked Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to ‘adopt her’.

Claudia wrote: ‘I’m officially pushing for emancipation. Buckle up because this is probably going to be public one way or another, unfortunately. Welcome to my life.

‘As for my dad, politically, we agree on absolutely nothing. We just both happen to have common sense when it comes to our current president. Stop “stanning” him.’

The teenager added: ‘I have been using social media as an outlet to express my passions, individuality, and to shed light on some hardships. I have been vulnerable for a reason. Thank you for supporting me.’
