Four people suffered burn injuries after an explosion at a tractor-trailer storage facility in Santa Clara on Tuesday evening.
Three workers were critically injured and hospitalized with second- and third-degree burns. The fourth walked himself to the hospital.
The blast in the Rye Canyon Loop sparked a wildfire that spread to one acre before it was put out, according to local reports.
The explosion was initially reported to be on a movie set, yet a public information officer later confirmed it was in a storage facility, according to NBC Los Angeles.

The facility has not been named.
‘At this time, the public should not be concerned,’ SCV Sheriff’s Station spokeswoman Natalie Arriaga said of the explosion.
Los Angeles County Supervisor told the Santa Clarita Signal the explosion was reported just after 5pm local time.
Responding units found a quarter-acre brush fire running uphill. The blaze, dubbed the Rye Fire, was stopped by 5.20pm local time at one acre.
No structures were threatened or damaged.

The three victims were brought to Henry Mayo Hospital.
‘Three burn victims are all being transported to a local trauma center with additional injuries,’ said Supervisor Ed Pickett.
‘We don’t know what caused it, and we are doing an investigation right now.’

According to CBS Los Angeles, the initial blast had been caused by a ‘pyrotechnic malfunction’.
Locals said that it felt like an earthquake.
‘I was just working from home … and there was this loud boom, and I thought it felt (as) if something were to have hit your house, like a crane or something weird,’ resident Amy Mader told Santa Clara Signal.
‘I felt it through the walls.’
The location of the incident matches that of the Southern California Innovation Park.

She said that a neighbor had alerted her to the flames on the nearby hill.
‘There were helicopters everywhere, just low flying … and dropping water,’ she added. ‘I think they got the fire put out pretty fast.’
Aerial TV news footage showed fire crews at a large lot with multiple cargo containers.
The location of the incident matches that of the Southern California Innovation Park.
It is a popular movie lot filming location, according to the Santa Clarita Film Office website.
Sheriff’s officials advised residents to stay clear of the area about 30 miles north of downtown Los Angeles.
ABC reported that arson and bomb investigators were at the scene searching for the source of the explosion.
A hazmat team was also at the scene to assess the situation.
