Former East 17 star Brian Harvey has been arrested on suspicion of malicious communication – and posted the moment he was confronted by cops on YouTube.
The troubled singer, 46, was met by six police officers at his London home on Friday morning before being taken to Leyton Police Station for questioning.
He live-streamed the bizarre exchange which showed him refusing to open his front door to awaiting officers and later asking them: ‘Are you going to kill me?’
The showdown is the latest example of erratic behaviour from the one-time Nineties pin-up who racked up 11 Top Ten hits with East 17, including festive classic Stay Another Day.
Brian, who has a long-running battle with depression which he claims once sparked a suicide bid, turned up outside Downing Street in October 2014 demanding to speak to then Prime Minister David Cameron over ‘stolen cash’, claiming the government owed him money.
And three years earlier he vented his fury at Southern Electric claiming he was unfairly treated over an unpaid bill, once again airing his grievances on YouTube.
Most famously of all, in 2005 he ran himself over with his Mercedes-Benz, blaming the three roast potatoes he had just consumed.

His unpredictable outbursts occurred after he was sacked from East 17 in 1997 for championing ecstasy, saying the drug made him a ‘better person.’
He claimed to have taken 12 ecstasy tablets and still driven home safely.
Concerns over Brian’s welfare, plus his public bust-ups with ex-fiancée Danniella Westbrook, has kept the singer in the headlines following the implosion of his music career, which has included failed comebacks with East 17 and an attempt at a solo career.
He appeared on I’m a Celebrity in 2004
Indeed, former EastEnders star Danniella, who dated Brian for three years in the Nineties, has recently been at war with her former partner on social media, branding him a ‘paranoid coke freak.’
Danniella also blamed Brian for her sacking from Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks in 2015 following their joint campaign to ‘name and shame’ child abusers in the UK.
Brain accused Daniella of having connections with a ‘paedophile ring’ and also branded her a ‘murderer.’
It’s not been confirmed whether Danniella, 47, is involved in Brian’s latest misdemeanour which he aired on YouTube this morning.
Brain was heard questioning officers on whether they were at his address ‘under oath’ and repeatedly asked ‘Why are you doing this to me?’
He added: ‘This is it, this is it everyone… this is it.
‘They’re here again everyone, they’re here again… they’re here again.
They’re here again everyone. They’re here. Can you not touch this please? Listen you lot are freaking me out – what are you doing?’
A police officer asked Brian, ‘Come and have a chat?’
Harvey eventually allowed the officers to arrest him after they told him that they were concerned for his safety and he was questioned at Leyton Police Station in East London
Harvey has spoken openly over the years about his ongoing battle with depression and how he has contemplated suicide
Speaking behind a metal gate, Brain said: ‘I’m having a chat but please don’t – ‘Why do you want to break into my house? I’m being arrested but why’ve you got to come in my house?
‘Listen, get away, get away I will come with you; you have my word but please move back from my house.
‘No you’re not staying that close – you’re not coming in my house again. I will come with you, why are you doing this to me man?
‘Please, I need your protection people. Look what’s happening to me, look how many people are here. What is this? Why are you doing this to me?’
The police explained an allegation of malicious communication had been made against Brian, but he still refused to let them into his property.
Brian said: ‘Malicious communication? Mate, are you lot going to kill me? You’re going to put me in prison and kill me for the queen. You are.
‘I know people, look at it… look what they’re doing to me. You are making me ill, first things first are you here on your oath today, are you all here on your oath?
‘The oath you have taken to the queen to uphold the common law of the land – are you here on your oath today? I am asking you.’
‘Reoccurring nightmares’: The ex-couple, who dated from 1991-1995, have been engaged in a war of words online the last month with both stars firing accusations via YouTube

Officers weren’t prepared to go into details given Brian was filming, but the former singer named two victims he believes have been instrumental in his arrest.
Eventually, after police said Brian’s behaviour made them fear for his safety, he obliged to come with them – leaving the live-stream continuing to record.
He said: ‘I’m going to come with you right now. You’re not going in my house. I don’t agree with this right but I’ll go with you peacefully.
‘Can you just step back so I can come with you. What are you going to do with me? You’re going to kill me aren’t you? You are.’
Earlier this month, Brian filmed another video for YouTube, explaining police had carried out a ‘welfare check’ at his home.
