Woman gets punched to the floor in underwear brawl while thug hurls pot plant at drinkers as violence breaks out on first weekend that pubs are open again

  • Video captured the moment two men and a woman had a fight in east London
  • The trio strip down to their underwear before exchanging punches in the street
  • In Blackpool, a fight abruptly came to an end when someone threw a plant pot

Half naked men and a woman exchanged punches in their underwear while in a separate incident a man threw a ceramic plant pot at drinkers on the first weekend since pubs reopened.

In Canning Town, east London, footage shot outside a pub showed the two men and a woman in a violent street brawl.

At one point the woman is punched to the floor before another brawler runs and pulls his opponent – who is wearing just underpants – to the floor.

Bystanders can be seen looking on in horror as the trio fight one another in the street outside the Alexandra Pub in Canning Town.

The footage was shared to social media on Sunday evening, with the caption, ‘Meanwhile in Canning Town.’

The two men can be seen embroiled in a fist fight before their female companion gets involved but gets violently knocked to the floor.

Since the restriction easing on April 12, the ‘stay local’ rule has been lifted and people have been allowed to gather in groups of six outdoors, including in pub gardens.

It remains unclear if the party were known to one another.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: ‘Police were called at 22:11hrs on Sunday, 18 April following reports of a fight in Barking Road near to the junction with Newhaven Lane.

‘Officers attended. There were no reports of any serious injuries and no arrests.’

Meanwhile in Blackpool, Lancs, revellers were caught on camera fighting outside the No3 Sports Bar on Saturday night.

In the shocking clip, a large group of yobs can be seen brawling with each other on a residential street.

One man is shown standing in the doorway of one of the neighbouring houses clutching a large, ceramic, plant pot while chaos erupts around him before throwing it in the direction of a group of fighting men.

The pot shatters as it clatters with the heads of two men and sends soil and ceramic over the road as the group disperse.

As the men run away from the scene, the man who threw the pot is chased by another man as the video comes to an end.

Shocked bystander Lauren Partridge, 21, managed to capture the video as it unfolded and posted it to her Twitter page yesterday saying: ‘Bet that hurt you know.’
