Friendly: Jamie split from ex-wife Louise in 2017 and recently praised her for doing a ‘great job’ with co-parenting their two sons
Jamie split from Eternal singer Louise in 2017 after 19 years of marriage and recently praised his ex-wife for doing a ‘great job’ with co-parenting their two sons.
The former footballer admitted they still ensure they’re ‘pulling the right way’ when it comes to looking after their sons Charley and Beau.
Speaking to HELLO! last month, Jamie said: ‘I’m very fortunate I’ve got two great boys. When you co-parent, it’s something you have to do together and make sure you’re both pulling the right way.’
He added: ‘Louise does a great job with the boys. We do the best we can and try to be tough but fair.’

Louise has often been candid about their split and revealed her regret over taking part in the 2016 edition of Strictly Come Dancing because it led to the end of her marriage in her book You’ve Got This.
The singer suggested she looks back on the experience with remorse as it ultimately ended her marriage to former soccer star Jamie.
She wrote: ‘If I’d done the show four years earlier, this wouldn’t have happened. I wouldn’t have walked away from my marriage.’
Louise, who was partnered with Kevin Clifton, said that taking part in the show ‘simply wasn’t worth putting anyone I loved or love through the heartache’.
The mum of two continued that she thinks she would have been ‘too scared’ to leave Jamie if she hadn’t taken part in the show.
And in April, Louise stated that a new romance isn’t her priority after her split from Jamie.
Speaking on BBC Morning Live, she said: ‘It has obviously been a long time since I was single, do you know what I find, it’s on everybody’s tongue: “Are you with anybody, have you met anybody?”
‘I feel until I’m actually with somebody and say: “Yep, present him, this is him” I feel like everyone is going to think: “Oh, is she okay? Is she not okay?”‘
