Woman reveals she grew boobs in her armpits after pregnancy

A mother-of-two who grew two more breasts in her armpits after giving birth to her first child opened up about the pain of living with the nightmare growths – which leaked milk when she breastfed – before finally having her ‘pitties’ removed. 

Samantha, from Los Angeles, appeared on a recent episode of E reality series Botched, during which she explained how she first developed an extra pair of breasts shortly after welcoming her daughter Kendall. 

‘It started with the pregnancy of my daughter, my first child,’ the mom-of-two told plastic surgeons Terry Dubrow and Paul Nassif, before revealing that the condition only got worse when she fell pregnant with her son Kamden, just six months after giving birth. 

‘I got pregnant with my son when my daughter was only about six months old,’ she recalled. ‘It got worse, [it got bigger] yes. I had milk leaking from my armpit.

‘I have two sets of boobs and although you would think that would be fun, it’s not. Having four breasts is the pits.’ 

By the time she gave birth to her son, Samantha’s underarm breasts had grown to the size of half a softball – with the mother joking that she thought they were probably about the same size as B-cup boobs. 

Despite being able to make funny quips about the lumps, Samantha admitted that the lumps were impacting every aspect of her life in a negative way – causing such shame and embarrassment that she refused to wear any clothing that might put them on show, even if that meant abandoning the sleeveless wedding dress she had always dreamed of wearing when she tied the knot. 

The ‘pitties’ also left her in constant pain, becoming raw, chafed, and ‘sore to the touch’ whenever she moved her arms around.  

Her husband Frank also confessed that the lumps had taken a serious toll on their love life, because his wife was too embarrassed to be topless in front of him.   

‘It transfers over to our romantic life,’ he admitted. ‘She goes to sleep with something covering her [armpits] now. It’s an obstacle for her every day. It’s been really hard to watch Samantha go through this situation for all these years.  

‘When we got married, Samantha wasn’t even able to wear the wedding dress of her dreams because it’s a sleeveless dress that revealed everything in her armpit. 

‘I hope that maybe one day she would be able to wear her dress that she’s always wanted to wear. 

‘It just looks so painful. It’s something I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy.’ 

Samantha told the Botched doctors that she had sought out medical treatment for her ‘pitties’ in the past, but had always been warned by experts that there was nothing to be done, and that she would likely have to live with the lumps forever. 

‘You’re stuck with them,’ she said doctors had told her, before asking Dr. Dubrow and Dr. Nassif: ‘Can this be fixed, or will I always have breasts in my armpits?’   

The medical experts offered Samantha some hope, however they warned that she would need to undergo tests before they could proceed with surgery, because they feared that the lumps may have been caused by an issue with her thyroid, which would make an operation much more risky.  

‘There’s a gland in your brain called the pituitary and the front part contains similar hormones that can enlarge [different areas],’ Dr. Dubrow explained, while Dr. Nassif added: ‘The thing with Samantha is we need to resolve any issues with her thyroid before we surgery. 

‘Number one is because she’s having anesthesia so we have to make sure her thyroid is on point and working well. Two, could there be any relationship with thyroid malfunction and the armpit masses?’ 

The medical duo also wanted to be completely aware of what they were dealing with before allowing Samantha to go under the knife. 

‘When you dissect an area, there are things you can see and things you can’t see, like lymph nodes,’ Dr. Dubrow explained, describing the hidden dangers as ‘tiger country. 

‘I’d rather not get into tiger country anytime soon.’  

Thankfully, after discovering that Samantha’s thyroid was not to blame for the masses under her armpits, the surgeons were able to work out an alternative means for removing the lumps: liposuction.  

They suggested using a liposuction canon to remove as much of the excess tissue as possible, before carefully cutting open the skin to take out anything that was remaining. 

‘The fact that Samantha’s thyroid workup is negative means the problem in her armpits is an isolated problem,’ Dr. Dubrow confirmed. ‘We can therefore go into surgery with confidence knowing the masses in her armpits will not grow back again.’ 

Dr. Dubrow performed a liposuction on the lumps to remove fat from either side, before opening up the masses and cutting out the fatty tissue that remained, leaving Samantha completely free from the ‘pitties’ that had plagued her for so long. 

‘It’s crazy,’ Samantha said after coming around from her anesthesia. ‘It’s still so surreal that I’m here. 

‘I can’t wait to wear what I want and just be more confident. I’m just so excited. I’m so thankful for Dr Dubrow. He just did what he knew he needed to do.’

After taking a few weeks to heal from her procedure, Samantha chose to celebrate her successful surgery by finally wearing the wedding dress that she had always dreamed of, a stunning sleeveless gown that put her armpits on full display. 

The beautiful bride even performed a bouquet toss during the special ceremony, throwing her arms up in the air for the world to see.
