The Los Angeles Dodgers ball girl who tackled a field invader and forced him to flip over the barrier and fall to the ground has been identified as a college sorority girl who was with the team for two and a half years before her viral moment.
Marissa Rohan, 24, works the field in a jersey with the number 93, as seen in fan videos of Sunday’s incident shot from multiple angles.
She’s a senior at California State University, Northridge, where she’s part of the Alpha Phi sorority.
She posted video of herself lunging toward the invader on her Instagram story shortly after the incident, with the caption ‘rough day at work.’
She’s been with the team since April 15, 2019, according to her Facebook.
On Instagram, she regularly shares snaps of herself at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles along with photos lounging by the pool and on the beach.

As the man approached the edge of the field and a fence, all chances of the man being caught seemed to fade as the security guards were unable to catch up to him (left). But LA Dodgers ball girl Marissa Rohan, displaying speed and agility, was the saving grace as she launched herself on the invader (right) and managed to tackle him, causing the crowd to erupt in cheers.

Video footage shows two members of the security team tripping up as they tried to catch the field invader as the crowd jeered.
As the man approached the edge of the field and a fence, all chances of the man being caught seemed to fade as the security guards were unable to catch up to him.
But Rohan, displaying speed and agility, was the saving grace as she launched herself on the invader and managed to tackle him, causing the crowd to erupt in cheers.
He was then apprehended by security while Rohan stood straight back up and walked nonchalantly back to her position.
Rohan shared photos and video of the incident, along with various headlines, to her Instagram Stories.
She referred DailyMail.com to the Dodgers press office when reached for comment. The Dodgers declined to comment.

Fabian Ardaya, a reporter for The Athletic, posted a video of the tackle and said: Holy c**p, the ball girl just leveled a fan running onto the field and sent them over the wall. None of the security could catch up to him, but the ball girl laid him out.’
Every major League Baseball team in the U.S. has ball boys and ball girls on each outfield line to gather foul balls so that the game can keep going.
‘This ball girl is not the hero we deserve, but the hero we need,’ tweeted LA sport journalist Michael Duarte.
Brian Floyd tweeted: ‘Ball girl sent him over the wall like this was arena football.’
He added: ‘All these dudes struggling to catch up and the ball girl is like ‘lemme show you how it’s done’ by dropping the hit stick.’
Shaker Samman, the associate editor of Baseball Prospectus, replied to Floyd and said: ‘I’m at this game and I can confirm that it was the best thing I’ve seen all day.’

Pat McAfee, a former punter for The Indianapolis Colts, tweeted: ‘Ball girl looking like a kicker on a long kickoff return… Stays square, find the angle, and BOOOOM over the wall CUZ.’
The LA Dodgers ball girl’s successful tackle wasn’t the only good news for the baseball team as they beat the Los Angeles Angels 8-2.
