Lady Gaga‘s former dog walker Ryan Fischer says he didn’t mean to ‘blame” the pop star when he said he felt ‘abandoned and unsupported’ after he was shot during a dog-napping incident in February .
Fischer opened about his trauma in a new interview with Rolling Stone, telling the magazine how people got the wrong idea after he set up a $40k GoFundMe campaign earlier this month.
‘Everyone thought that I was setting a blame on someone, when it was all love,’ he explained.
No hard feelings: Lady Gaga’s former dog walker Ryan Fischer says he didn’t mean to ‘blame” the pop star when he said he felt ‘abandoned and unsupported’ after he was shot during a dog-napping incident in February
‘It’s what happens in trauma — all your loved ones, all your family, everyone: you feel alone.’
But Fischer said his frustration was just part of his healing ‘journey.’
‘I tried to navigate that,’ he added. ‘I really did think about the wording [of the GoFundMe.]’
In February, Fischer was walking the Oscar winner’s three French bulldogs Koji, Gustav and Miss Asia when he was shot four times.
Misunderstood: Fischer said he never intended to blame Gaga when he posted a $40k GoFundMe campaign earlier this month. The star reportedly paid his medical bills
Two of the dogs, Koji and Gustav, were taken while Miss Asia managed to escape and went back to lay with Ryan as he bled on the sidewalk.
In April, five suspects were charged in the dognapping – including the woman who returned Koji and Gustav.
Three of the suspects — James Jackson, 18; Jaylin White, 19; and Lafayette Whaley, 27 — have been charged with attempted murder and armed robbery, according to the LAPD.

Two additional defendants — Harold White, a known gang member and the 40-year-old father of Jaylin White, and his girlfriend Jennifer McBride, 50 — are accused of acting as accessories after the fact by helping conceal the stolen animals.
They were not aware that Gaga was the owner, the police said, amid claims robberies were part of a gang initiation.
Gaga, who covered all of Fischer’s medical expenses, had offered a $500K reward for the safe return of her two stolen dogs.
