Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker are ENGAGED! Reality star says YES the Blink-182 drummer

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker are engaged after less than one year of dating. 

The 45-year-old Blink 182 drummer popped the question to his now-fiancee, 42, on Sunday at the Rosewood Miramar Hotel in Montecito, California. 

Kourtney shared images of the lavish proposal on Instagram with the caption ‘forever,’ as they embraced amid a sea of red roses. 

The marriage will mark Kourtney’s first and Travis’ third. 

 Kourtney posted two images to Instagram that showed the extravagant beach proposal where she donned a black dress, and an additional Instagram post from a witness (a realtor by the name of Blake Kirsch) showed more moments. 

She said ‘yes’ amid a sea of red roses in the shape of a heart surrounded by white candles as the sun was setting, at which point he slipped an engagement ring onto her finger. 

Barker’s daughter Alabama shared a first look at the massive sparkler as they enjoyed an intimate engagement dinner with family and friends after the proposal, with additional footage shared throughout the evening. 

The proposal took place at 6:30 PM family members from both sides in attendance to usher in the happy couple. 

TMZ was the first to report the news and an E! News source shared details of the momentous day, adding that Kourtney was ‘surprised.’ 

‘Kourtney looked very surprised to see Khloe and Tristan there,’ the E! source said.  

‘Travis escorted Kourtney down to the beach, where he had red and white florals set up in the shape of a heart. It looked very romantic. I could see Kourtney smiling from ear to ear and put her hand over her mouth looking surprised. The family cheered for them and went back into the hotel.’ 

Khloe and Kardashian, Kylie and Kendall Jenner, Corey Gamble, Kris Jenner, and Tristan Thompson were there for the proposal and engagement party as well as Barker’s kids: Landon, 18, Alabama, 15, and step-daughter Atiana De La Hoya. 

Barker’s son Landon and daughter Alabama both gushed over their new step mom as they shared moments from the intimate dinner party to celebrate, that had a tablescape filled with red roses to match the romantic proposal.

As if there was any doubt about their very steamy love life, Barker had also posted a photo of a bed with a heart of red roses after the dinner. 

Sister Kim Kardashian also shared footage from the evening additionally tweeting a video with the caption ‘KRAVIS FOREVER.’

The loved up duo were longtime friends for a decade, before they began dating in the latter part of 2020, and went Instagram official just after Valentine’s Day. 

There had been numerous reports that the pair had talked about marriage and both had made it clear that they were in it for the long haul with social media posts, and he even got her name tattooed on his chest. 

‘They are head over heels and never experienced love like this,’ an insider told E!. ‘Kourtney is the happiest. Travis adores her and treats her so well. It’s very different than her other relationships and all positive.’ 

Another added: ‘It was an instant connection and bond ever since they became romantically involved. They are in it for the long haul. Everyone in the family adores Travis and their families mesh seamlessly.”  

In September, Barker shared a photo of them kissing in front of the Eiffel Tower with the caption ‘Forever isn’t long enough,’ and it seemed the two were set to get engaged any minute. 

Around that same time a source told The Sun that they were actively trying to ‘combine the two families’ and that Kardashian wants Barker to be ‘step-dad’ to her three kids: Mason, 11, Penelope, nine, and Reign, six. 

‘Kourtney and Travis are loved up but what’s causing a headache is the plans to combine the two families. Right now Kourtney and Travis live minutes away from each other, but they want to move in together to start a new chapter, and that means all their kids need to be involved in the plan too.’

It was added: ‘When he’s not with his kids, Travis spends all his time at Kourt’s – and he more or less lives there,’ with a source saying: ‘Kourt wants Travis to be step-dad to her kids, and her to his.’

The duo had splashed out additionally on a shared Palm Springs house for their joint families, with both names listed on the deed.  

Kourtney had also given the drummer the strength to fly for the first time in nearly 13 years following a plane crash that killed four and left him with burns on 65% of his body. He shared a snap of the pair embracing by Kylie Jenner’s private jet after he took his first flight (to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico) in August and wrote ‘anywhere with you.’ 

The duo had first sparked engagement rumors during a trip to Las Vegas in July, after his daughter Alabama Barker, 15, re-posted an image of the pair with the caption ‘So happy for you guys’ and later referred to Kourtney as her ‘stepmom’ in an Instagram live.

Her hairstylist Glen Oropeza had also commented on an image: ‘NOWWW I understand why ppl tie the knot in Vegas’ with the chapel emoji — but later changed it.

Prior to Barker Kourtney had dated Algerian model Younes Bendjima from 2016 to 2018, and was in a very tumultuous on-off relationship with Scott Disick, with whom she shares her three kids. 

After her engagement was announced, Twitter quickly lit up with memes about what Disick must be feeling to see her make plans to walk down the aisle. 

‘Scott Disick when he finds out that Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker engaged after less than a year of dating,’ wrote one person with a video of someone throwing a fit, while another poked fun at his predilection for younger women as they wrote he would be finding ‘another teenager’ to date. 

Another wrote that it was embarrassing that all it took was less than one year with Barker to make her want to walk down the aisle. ‘Disick proposed about 600 times and she always said no to his a**.’    

Kourtney and Scott first began dating in 2006 and were in a very on-off relationship for nearly decade that was wrought with cheating and substance fueled outbursts that tore them apart. They finally called it quits in 2015, but he had made it known numerous times he would be holding out for her. 

Scott confessed that Kourtney would ‘always be a priority’ and had tried to rekindle a few times. During the Keeping Up With The Kardashians reunion (at which point she was already dating Barker) Kourtney spoke about her deal breaker with Scott and said: ‘I think the substance abuse was the deal-breaker.’ 

He had begrudgingly given she and Barker his blessing as he said: ‘I think if you really love somebody, you want them to be happy no matter what. So I do give her a blessing to be happy,’ but seemed to air his real feelings just months later in a DM to her ex Younes. 

The message from the Talentless designer slammed Kourtney’s PDA with Barker as he shared a photo of the pair making out, and read:’Yo is this chick ok!??? Broo like what is this. In the middle of Italy.’ 

Disick was said to be ‘riled up’ because her new romance was affecting their relationship — which was close and good relative to co-parenting.’It’s more strained than ever,’ an Us Weekly insider said.

And PEOPLE reported that he could not accept she was ‘happy with someone else.’ ‘Scott has always had a difficult time accepting that Kourtney is happy with someone else. He is especially threatened by her relationship with Travis.’

Prior to Kourtney, Barker had been married to Shanna Moakler from 2004 to 2008. They share two biological kids Landon and Alabama and Barker had stepped up as a father figure to her eldest Atiana De La Hoya, from her relationship with Oscar De La Hoya. 

Before that he was married to a woman named Melissa Kennedy for nine months. He filed for divorce in August 2002.
