A popular TikTok star was left embarassed after learning that the fabulous designer dress she wore to a recent movie premiere was not actually meant to have a giant round hold on the front — and that one of her legs was actually supposed to go through the opening.

Tefi Pessoa, 31, is an InStyle magazine host with 1.2 million followers, and on Monday she attened Dune’s UK premiere, where she interviewed celebrities while dressed in a $1,098 (£795) designer dress.

Tefi posed confidently in the gown, which appeared to feature a large, circular cutout over her left thigh — but as she revealed later on TikTok, she discovered after the premiere that the hole was actually meant for her leg to go through, a fact that has left her cringing.

As she wore it on the red carpet, the dress appeared to have a large circular hole over the left thigh, which exposed both legs when she moved

The hole was actually meant for her leg to go through (as seen on model), creating a slit-like effect

Tefi wore the blue velvet dress designed by Silvia Astore for Annie’s Ibiza for the glamorous event, where stars Zendaya and Timothee Chalamet also walked the red carpet.

On Instagram, she shared a video of herself speaking to Jason Mamoa, the whole in her dress exposing a peek at both legs and coming dangerously close to a wardrobe malfunction.

It turns out, that’s because it wasn’t supposed to be worn that way at all.

‘I have wonderful news,’ she later wrote on Instagram. ‘I am now learning my leg was supposed to go through the hole. LMAO whYYYYY !!! i was like “wow que futuristic.”’

She wasn’t bothered by the hole and thought it was supposed to look ‘futuristic’

She also ‘fessed up to the mistake on TikTok, sharing a video of her embarassed reaction.

‘Guys, I’m freaking out,’ she says in the clip. ‘I just found out that my leg was supposed to go through the stupid freaking hole.

‘Why can’t I dress myself? I’m an adult,’ she continued, hiding her face.

‘When I tell you that I could die,’ she said. ‘I just… I’m gonna order pizza. I just want to apologize. I know that I can dress myself if you just give me one more chance.’

Despite the embarassing moment, Tefi had a good sense of humor about the whole thing, laughing as she flashed a photo of how the dress was actually supposed to be worn

Unlike a slit, though, the opening closes under the leg, leaving know room for an accidental peek at underwear.

Still, Tefi’s admission on social media, her fans have come out in full support to insist she ‘did it better’ and ‘reinvented fashion.’

‘This dress should be renamed as The Tefi,’ joked one, while another wrote: ‘Tefi killed it no matter how she wore it.’
