Ireland Baldwin slammed Candace Owens for tweeting that her dad Alec Baldwin‘s accidental shooting was ‘poetic justice’ following the actor’s criticism of Donald Trump.

Her response came after the conservative pundit, 32, criticized her father on social media over the shooting that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on October 16.

‘You are the most disgusting, human, cancerous human being I’ve ever come across,’ the 26-year-old model wrote on her Instagram Story.

She continued: ‘Regardless of your foul opinions most of the time, the fact that you would disrespect the life of a woman who was accidentally and tragically killed…Shame on you.’

Ireland also informed her more than 677,000 followers she would be taking an ‘Instagram break’ as she is ‘ashamed to breathe the same air as this woman.’

Later, the star added: ‘Be a republican. Be unvaccinated. I don’t give a f**k. There are plenty of liberal ones that I support as well… But one f***ing thing I find myself doing is being RESPECTFUL.’

Angry: Her response came after the conservative pundit, 32, criticized her father on social media over the shooting that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on October 16

‘You are the most disgusting, human, cancerous human being I’ve ever come across,’ the 25-year-old model wrote on her Instagram Story

‘But we aren’t debating masks and vaccines and abortion and trans rigthts here…a woman’s life was lost. Your tweets, lack of information, and ignorance are hurting people,’ she explained.

‘You and that scumbag @jackmposobiec don’t have a clue what you’re even talking about and you usually never do,’ the only child of Kim Basinger continued.

Ireland concluded: ‘I respect people’s opinions… but if you support these absolute clowns… please don’t follow me any more. I beg.’

Hateful: Conservative pundit Owens, 32, has since deleted her provocative tweets and Instagram posts after criticizing Baldwin over the shooting that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins

She also urged anyone ‘trying to defame’ her father over ‘this tragic situation’ to ‘hit that unfollow button’ because it breaks her heart that people can be ‘so hatefully ignorant.’

Hours later, Ireland updated her fans to let them know she and Owens had an ‘actual conversation’ that went a ‘long way.’

In a screenshot of their direct messages, the beauty thanked Owens ‘for taking the time to have a real conversation.’

After wishing the conservative author a ‘peaceful evening,’ Owens replied ‘no problem. Same to you.’

‘I will always stand for what I do… but one thing we need of in this world is perpetuated hate and anger and fighting… especially in the wake of this tragedy. Thanks, again, to everyone who have been so kind and supportive,’ she added in a separate post on her Instagram Story.

In Owens’ since-deleted tweets, she wrote: ‘Alec Baldwin spent 4 years dedicated to painting Donald Trump and his supporters as evil murderers.

‘What has happened to Alec would be an example of poetic justice if it weren’t for the actual innocent people that were murdered by him. Pray for their families. So sad.’

Making progress: Hours later, Ireland updated her fans to let them know she and Owens had an ‘actual conversation’ that went a ‘long way’

‘I will always stand for what I do… but one thing we need of in this world is perpetuated hate and anger and fighting… especially in the wake of this tragedy. Thanks, again, to everyone who have been so kind and supportive,’ she added

The right-wing talk show host then added: ‘Will correct that last tweet to say Alec Baldwin *killed* someone- not murdered someone, as murder carries a different legal definition.

‘Literally not one single thing that Alec Baldwin has said about Donald Trump and his supporters is going to age well.’

Owens’ remarks prompted fury online, with many accusing her of trying to profit politically from the tragic death of Hutchins.

One person called the commentator ‘spineless’ and said the tweets were ‘below her’.

Another wrote that her response to the tragedy was ‘tasteless’, saying Baldwin’s politics had no bearing on the shooting.

Baldwin, a lifelong Democrat, played Trump on SNL and once referred to the president and his supporters as a ‘gallery of monsters’.

The 30 Rock star also went on a rant about how Trump was causing a ‘moral collapse of the US’ and compared him to Adolf Hitler.

He wrote after the 2020 election: ‘Bury Trump in a Nazi graveyard and put a swastika on his grave. The majority of Americans made the right choice. Trump is a maniac.’

His SNL impressions upset the president who blasted in 2019: ‘Nothing funny about tired Saturday Night Live on Fake News NBC!’

‘Question is, how do the Networks get away with these total Republican hit jobs without retribution? Likewise for many other shows? Very unfair and should be looked into. This is the real Collusion!’

Trump was responding to a typically caustic sketch by Baldwin from the previous night during the border emergency.

Baldwin joked: ‘We have a tremendous amount of drugs flowing into the country from the southern border – or the brown line, as many people have asked me not to call it.

‘That’s why we need wall. Because wall works. Wall makes safe.’

Owens has previously landed herself in hot water on numerous occasions for her controversial comments.

She claimed baselessly that the 2018 mail bombing attempts that targeted prominent Democrats were being orchestrated by leftists, before a Trump supporter was arrested.

She deleted her tweets and offered no further explanation.

Owens has also pushed antivaxx conspiracy theories and was embroiled in a high-profile spat with rapper Cardi B.

The conservative pundit, 32, has since deleted her provocative tweets and Instagram posts after criticizing Baldwin

Following the shooting, Baldwin said in a Twitter statement: ‘There are no words to convey my shock and sadness regarding the tragic accident that took the life of Halyna Hutchins, a wife, mother and deeply admired colleague of ours.

‘I’m fully cooperating with the police investigation to address how this tragedy occurred and I am in touch with her husband, offering my support to him and his family.

‘My heart is broken for her husband, their son, and all who knew and loved Halyna.’

The actor was reportedly ‘hysterical and absolutely inconsolable for hours’ after the accidental shooting and is now looking ‘to take some time to himself and re-center himself’.

Matthew Hutchins tweeted a photo of his wife and their nine-year-old son Andros on Friday captioned: ‘Halyna inspired us all with her passion and vision, and her legacy is too meaningful to encapsulate in words.

‘Our loss is enormous, and we ask that the media please respect my family’s privacy as we process our grief. We thank everyone for sharing images and stories of her life.’
