A woman was hit and seriously injured by a Mercedes G-Wagon worth up to £200,000 in Manchester last night.
The purple 4×4, a high performance vehicle widely used by celebrities and football stars, was seen parked in a bus stop some distance from where the initial collision took place on Alan Turing Way in the Bradford area of the city.
Several police vehicles were stationed around a cordon – and two other vehicles were inside the cordon, but it is not thought that they were involved in the initial impact. The road was shut into the early hours of this morning.
