Hilaria Baldwin is being branded a desperate attention-seeker after interrupting Alec’s impromptu press conference about Halyna Hutchkin’s death, prompting her movie star husband to glare and snap at her.

During an interview at a Vermont roadside Saturday, Hilaria repeatedly barged in, paced in front of the camera, and scowled at the reporter, while making a show of filming the exchange on her iPhone

She later shared a heartfelt post on Instagram: ‘I love you and I’m here,’ she captioned a picture of her and her husband’s intertwined hands after he accidentally shot dead cinematographer Hutchins on the set of ‘Rust’.

Her apparent attempt at eliciting sympathy backfired online, with numerous social media users calling Hilaria out for her attention-seeking way.

‘This scene with Alec Baldwin and Hilaria Baldwin (aka 100% not-Spanish Hillary from Boston who is still using a fake accent) is nuts,’ tweeted @blanket1734.

‘He’s trying to deal with the paps and his wife keeps jumping in, trying to butt in and FILMING because she’s that desperate for attention.’

Hilaria Baldwin scowled at a reporter and interrupted a roadside interview involving her movie star husband Alec, who accidentally shot and killed a colleague on the set of his movie ‘Rust

‘Her name is Halyna,’ Hilaria tells a reporter. ‘If you’re spending this much time waiting for us, you should know her name. Alec also appears to grow annoyed at the reporter, asking in astonishment: ‘You don’t know her name? Come on. Halyna Hutchins.’

Added @LexieNorcross: ‘Watching Alec basically tell Hilaria to go away is amazing.

‘The chick needs to learn how to use door dash or Instacart and stop parading her whole family to Starbucks, etc. “if” she wants some privacy – she wants attention it seems like.’

User @rdcarrington said there were ‘two narcissists’ in the picture.

‘She has to involve herself to get some of that attention,’ they tweeted.

Hilaria, who has been accused of faking her Spanish heritage despite growing up in Boston, said she drove her family to Vermont after the October 21 event, worried about her husband’s mental health, according to the New York Post.

‘I brought [Alec] up here because we have to mourn Halyna’s death,’ she told the outlet. ‘Alec had a really traumatic thing happen, and I am trying to limit the PTSD.’

‘You look at what happens to soldiers and police officers when something like this happens, it’s traumatic. We just came up here for quiet,’ she added.

She revealed her husband felt ‘awful’ and they were ‘trying to find quiet,’ so she could take care of him.

‘He needs space for me to take care of him and his mental health,’ she said.

Twitter users were unsympathetic to Hilaria, saying she’s ‘desperate for attention’ and needs to stop ‘parading her whole family to Starbucks, etc. “if” she wants some privacy’

A day after the accident that killed Hutchins and wounded director Joel Souza, Hilaria Baldwin was seen leaving the family’s Greenwich Village home.

‘I didn’t know where I was going, I just drove,’ Baldwin said. ‘I just drove around and around and around with my kids.’

She settled for Manchester, Vermont, to escape from the media scrutiny.  Her husband eventually joined her there.

Early Saturday, Alec Baldwin talked to the media for the first time since the accident.

Baldwin said he had dinner with ‘my friend’ Halyna Hutchins on the first day of filming Rust in New Mexico before fatally shooting her last Thursday and snapped at his wife, Hilaria, several times during a tense roadside exchange with reporters in Vermont on Saturday.

Baldwin was with his wife Hilaria, who appeared to be filming the interaction, when the couple pulled over to talk to photographers in Manchester, Vermont. He said he would support new measures restricting the use of weapons on the set of television shows and films in order to enhance worker safety.

‘What do you want to know?’ a visibly agitated Alec said as his wife, Hilaria, held up her cell phone while apparently recording the impromptu news briefing on the side of the road.

Hilaria Baldwin made an emotional post on Instagram, showing her hand intertwined with husband Alec Baldwins and says she has fears he will develop PTSD after he accidentally shot dead cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of ‘Rust’

Baldwin said he had dinner with ‘my friend’ Halyna Hutchins (pictured) on the first day of filming Rust in New Mexico before fatally shooting her last Thursday

The couple spoke for roughly four minutes. He said: ‘A woman died. She was my friend.’

‘The day I arrived in Santa Fe to start shooting, I took her to dinner with Joel, the director,’ he said. ‘We were a very, very well oiled crew shooting a film together and then this horrible event happened.’

Hilaria, who appears to want to say something to her husband, walks toward him as he’s talking to reporters, prompting an annoyed Alec to tell her: ‘Excuse me.’

Alec told photographers he had been ‘ordered’ by the Santa Fe Sheriff’s Office ‘not to talk about the investigation,’ but is ‘eagerly awaiting for the sheriff’s department’ to release their findings.

The actor, who was visibly tense during his exchange with reporters, then asked: ‘What other questions do you have other than that?’

He also claimed he ‘talks to the cops every day’ following the death of the 42-year-old filmmaker.

Hilaria then enters the frame and stands next to her husband while apparently filming the assembled crew of reporters and photographers with her mobile phone.

A reporter then begins to ask Alec whether he met with the family of the late cinematographer, but he forgets Hutchins’ name and fumbles the question, prompting both Alec and Hilaria to express their annoyance.

‘Her name is Halyna,’ Hilaria barked in response.

‘If you’re spending this much time waiting for us, you should know her name,’ Hilaria tells the reporter.

Alec also appears to grow annoyed at the reporter, asking in astonishment: ‘You don’t know her name? Come on. Halyna Hutchins.’

Alec then continued: ‘I met with her husband, Matthew, and her son. Yeah, that’s right.’

When asked how the meeting went, Alec replied: ‘I wouldn’t know how to characterize it.’

Alec then said that they were ‘mortified’ though before he could finish his sentence, Hilaria interjects.

Baldwin claimed Rust cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, 42, ‘was his friend’ and that he ‘took her out to dinner with the direct’ on the first night in Santa Fe. Hilaria seemed defensive of her heartbroken husband while they talked to photographers before her husband shooed her away stating: ‘Do me a favor, I’m going to answer the questions’

Baldwin looked distraught as he was out with his family in Manchester, Vermont

‘You guys, you guys, you know what? No details,’ Hilaria says.

Alec once again appears agitated at his wife, telling her: ‘Do me a favor? I’m going to answer the question.’

When the reporter tells Alec that he believed Hutchins’ widower was ‘very upset,’ the actor replied: ‘The guy is overwhelmed with grief.’

Alec continues: ‘There are incidental accidents on film sets from time to time, but nothing like this.

‘This is a one in a trillion episode. This is a one in a trillion event.’

Alec said Hutchins’ widower is ‘in shock’ and that the Baldwins are ‘in constant contact with him.’

‘We’re very worried about his family and his kid. As I said, we’re eagerly awaiting for the sheriff’s department to tell us their investigation has yielded.’

Alec, still exasperated, then asks the press corps: ‘What else do you have?’

The reporter who has asked the question then wonders if Alec will ‘ever work on another film set that involves firearms of that nature.’

To which Alec replied: ‘I couldn’t answer that question. I have no sense of it.’

‘I do know that an ongoing effort to limit the use of firearms on film sets is something I’m extremely interested in.

But remember something that I think is important, which is – how many bullets have been fired in films and TV shows [that have been made] in the last 75 years?

‘This is America. How many bullets have gone off in movies and on TV sets before? Billions.

We have to realize when it does go wrong and it’s this horrible, catastrophic thing, some new measures have to take place – proper guns, plastic guns, no real, live [rounds].

‘But that’s not for me to decide.’

‘It’s urgent that you understand – I’m not an expert in this field. So whatever other people decide is the best way to go in terms of protecting people’s safety on film sets – I’m all in favor of and I will cooperate with that in any way that I can.’

When Alec was asked if he has any other film projects in the works, he curtly replies: ‘That’s irrelevant to what we’re talking about.’

Alec then tells the reporters that he doesn’t believe that production on Rust will start up again.

When asked why he and his family chose to decamp to Vermont, Hilaria once again interjects, saying: ‘It’s private.’

Alec then reaches his hand toward his wife’s right shoulder as if to gesture to her that he will be the one doing the talking.

He tells the reporters: ‘That’s personal. That’s private.’

‘Anything else?’ Alec asks the assembled journalists.

When the reporters have no other questions, Alec then pleads with them for some privacy.

‘My kids are in the car crying,’ the 30 Rock star said, prompting Hilaria to add: ‘Because you guys are following them and they know.’

Alec once again appears agitated at his wife, telling her: ‘Do me a favor? I’m going to answer the question.’

Alec then continues: ‘As a courtesy to you, I came out [to talk to you]. I’m not allowed to comment on the investigation.

‘I talk to the cops every day.’

When a reporter asks Alec if law enforcement officials know where he is, he replies: ‘Yeah, I’m cooperating with them. Of course.’

Alec concludes his remarks by saying: ‘My point is that – I’m just asking you…we sat down as a courtesy to talk to you, now, please, would you stop following us and leave us alone?’

‘Just go home,’ Hilaria says.

‘We gave you everything we could possibly give you,’ Alec says before walking toward his car.

Hilaria then leaves, walking behind her husband while asking the reporters: ‘Now turn it off.’

Hutchins’ husband Matthew, 38, a lawyer with whom she shares an eight-year-old son, told DailyMail.com on October 22: ‘I have spoken with Alec Baldwin and he is being very supportive.’

Matthew and the couple’s only son Andros were seen collecting multiple pieces of luggage from the curb yesterday after a limousine dropped it off at their Venice Beach, California, home.

The items were reportedly delivered to the couple’s home on Thursday via a limousine driver. The delivery, which came exactly one week after the mother was fatally shot, was believed to be a haul of Halyna’s belongings being returned home from the movie set in New Mexico.

Baldwin smiled as he approached the photographer while Hilaria seemed stiff as she filmed the photographer

Hutchins’ died on October 21 after Baldwin pointed and fired a pistol at her during a scene and it injured director Joel Souza in the shoulder.

The gun that killed the filmmaker was a Colt pistol. Alec Baldwin was handling the vintage gun on the set of Rust in Santa Fe, New Mexico, when it accidentally discharged – killing the mom-of-one and wounding director Joel Souza.

According to a call sheet obtained by DailyMail.com, Baldwin was taking part in a mock gunfight inside the church building on the Bonanza Ranch film set when Hutchins was hit.

Co-stars Jensen Ackles, Swen Temmel and Travis Hammer were also in the scene – numbered 121 – alongside Baldwin’s stunt double Blake Teixeira and stunt coordinator Allan Graf.

Production notes show the Colt pistol was one of several weapons on set at the time but the only one used in 121 and the preceding 118.

The armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, 24, said ‘wasn’t sure if I was ready’ in an interview prior to filming.

She also admitted in the podcast interview that she found loading blanks into a gun to be ‘the scariest’ thing because she did not know how to do it and had sought help from her father, legendary gunsmith Thell Reed, to get over the fear.

First assistant director Dave Halls had grabbed the gun from the cart and brought it inside to Baldwin, unaware that it was loaded with live rounds.

‘Cold gun!’ shouted Halls before handing the gun to Baldwin, using the phrase to signal to cast and crew that the gun was safe to fire for the scene, the warrant said.

Hutchins was behind the camera while the scene was being filmed on October 21

Baldwin ignored the golden rule of gun safety by pointing the prop at someone but the gun never should have been loaded with live ammunition to begin with, experts say.

Zak Knight, a pyrotechnic and special effects engineer who is a member of Local 44, told DailyMail.com on October 22:  ‘There should have never been live rounds on a movie set, that’s number one. Number two is every single person on a movie set has a right to inspect a weapon before it’s fired. And number three is, there is no reason to ever put a person in front of a weapon that’s firing.

‘Anytime you see a movie where the barrel is pointed down the camera lens, there should not be an operator behind it. It’s obvious that the considerations of this resulted in that gun being pointed directly at two people.

The crew on Baldwin’s movie set were already concerned about gun safety before he accidentally shot and killed Hutchins.

The warrant indicated that a single bullet struck Hutchins in the chest, and then struck director Joel Souza in the shoulder as he was standing behind her, injuring him, suggesting the bullet traveled all the way through Hutchins’ body.

Unionized workers had walked off the set hours before the fatal shooting, after they complained about long hours, shoddy conditions and another safety incident days earlier involving ‘two misfires’ of a prop weapon.

Baldwin told the photographer he didn’t think production would start up again.
