A New Jersey woman who survived being run over three times in a harrowing road rage attack said she desperately tried to pull off her high heels when running away and is convinced her assailant wanted to kill her.
Morgan Scott, 23, was taking photos of a silver SUV driven by Vincent Jean, 56, after he allegedly rammed his car against hers out her home in Elizabeth on April 12, when the man suddenly aimed his car at her, mowing Scott three times as she tried to escape.
‘I tried to run, cause I’m like, ‘What’s going on,” Scott told Inside Edition. ‘Let me get my shoes off, because I had heels on at the same time.
‘One of them couldn’t come off all the way, and I fell.’
Scott suffered a broken femur and ribs, lacerations to her liver, and both her knees were split open. She also had her neck broken in three places and had to undergo surgery to place a rod in her leg.
Scott remains in a wheelchair, and faces further intensive treatment in her road to recovery.
She added that she needed to continue wearing a mask to protect her face from the sun to reduce scarring from road rash.

Scott said she was shocked by the incident, which was captured on camera, and believed that Jean, of Irvington, was trying to kill her that day.
He was arrested and charged with first-degree attempted murder and third-degree assault by auto.
‘I definitely think he’s a danger to society,’ Scott told Inside Edition.
She also credits the support of her family and friends for helping through the ordeal as she recovers at the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation.
‘When it comes to my family, my friends — they’re there for me, and I want to be there for them,’ Scott said as she cried, adding that she was moved by the encouragement she has received online.
A GoFundMe to help her pay her medical expenses has raised $116,777 as of Friday night from more than 2,200 donors.

But the vehicle easily caught up with her and she disappeared from view as only her screams could be heard.
The car mowed her down and continued to drive with her underneath on a stranger’s front garden.
Jean then reversed and Scott briefly reappeared on the grass, barely moving.
He then revved his engine and launched another vicious attack on her – despite his victim lying still.
Onlookers, including the cameraman, screamed ‘stop, stop’ but the driver continued to drive over her.
He honked his horn as he made it over her for a second time before finally coming to a halt.
Scott was left lying on the ground while witnesses yelled: ‘Yo, what the f***. What the f***?!’

In a statement, Scott’s family said: ‘The family would like to express its gratitude for the expedient response to this incident by the Union County Prosecutor’s Office, the Elizabeth Police Department, EMS workers as well as Elizabeth Mayor, Chris Bollwage.
‘We also want to thank the citizens of Elizabeth for their aid and support, especially the school bus driver who intervened and the neighbor who provided the security camera footage of this horrific crime.
‘Your actions and cooperation with law enforcement led to the quick apprehension of the perpetrator.
‘These collective efforts along with the hard-working and diligent actions of the doctors and healthcare professionals at University Hospital, saved our daughter’s life.’
