This is the moment a Los Angeles Dodgers ball girl tackled a pitch invader, forcing him to flip over the barrier and fall to the ground.

The dramatic turn of events took center stage at Dodger stadium in LA on Sunday when the fan ran across the field and was chased by at least seven security guards.

Video footage shows two members of the security team tripping up as they tried to catch the pitch invader as the crowd jeered.

As the man approached the edge of the field and a fence, all chances of the man being caught seemed to fade as the security guards were unable to catch up to him.

But a LA Dodgers ball girl, displaying speed and agility, was the saving grace as she launched herself on the pitch invader and managed to tackle him, causing the crowd to erupt in cheers.

The girl, who has not been identified, could be seen doing small split-steps before reaching out to her left and stretching so as to grab the man’s body, causing him to flip over the fence head first and fall on the ground on the other side.

The pitch invader could then be seen being apprehended by security while the ball girl was seen standing straight back up and walking nonchalantly back to her position.

Fabian Ardaya, a reporter for The Athletic, posted a video of the tackle and said: Holy c**p, the ball girl just leveled a fan running onto the field and sent them over the wall. None of the security could catch up to him, but the ball girl laid him out.’

Every major League Baseball team in the U.S. has ball boys and ball girls on each outfield line to gather foul balls so that the game can keep going.

The LA Dodgers ball girl’s successful tackle wasn’t the only good news for the baseball team as they beat the Los Angeles Angels 8-2.

Albert Pujols hit his first home run against his former team that released him in May, ending a 10-year tenure.

The 41-year-old Pujols hit a two-run homer in the second inning, connecting as a pinch-hitter for Justin Turner, who exited with left groin discomfort. Pujols has 14 homers this season – nine in a Dodgers uniform – and 676 overall.

Cody Bellinger, the former NL MVP who has struggled mightily this season, homered for the second straight game, helping the World Series champions take two of three at Dodger Stadium in the Freeway Series.
