Rocker Machine Gun Kelly and mixed martial arts superstar Conner McGregor got into an altercation the MTV Video Music Awards at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on Sunday.

It all went down as Kelly and McGregor were both posing for photographers on the red carpet with their respective partners – Megan Fox and Dee Devlin – by their sides just before the start of the show.

Kelly’s movie star girlfriend Fox was among the people who stepped in between the two would-be fighters, and then wrapped her arms around him as the couple were led off past the growing crowd that had gathered.

According to McGregor’s representative, the fighter does not know who Kelly is and insisted that his client wasn’t the one to start the scuffle.

It was first reported that McGregor asked MGK (born Colson Baker) for a photo, but the Bloody Valentine star shot him down, according to TMZ.

However McGregor’s spokesperson has since stated: ‘Conor McGregor did not ask anyone for a picture, nor did he instigate this incident. He does not know Machine Gun Kelly, outside of the fact that he attended Conor’s fight this past July.’

How it all went down: It all started when McGregor asked Kelly for a photo, which the rocker declined, according to TMZ

Denied: MGK’s rejection of the MMA superstar’s photo request didn’t go over to well

Reports have suggested that words were exchanged and the situation escalated to the point where Kelly pushed McGregor, who then stumbled back and spilled his drink.

The Irish fighter is currently walking with a cane as he recovers from a broken tibia bone that he suffered in his last bout with Dustin Poirier on July 10 at UFC 264.

After collecting himself for a brief moment, McGregor threw what was left of his drink at Kelly, which was also in the vicinity of Fox.

MCGREGOR’S PAST OUT OF THE RING ANTICS

 Speeding – 2017

In 2017 McGregor received a ticking off from an Irish judge after failing to pay a €400 speeding fine.

During the clash, Fox stepped in between the two men as they shouted, and kept them separated, along with the help of members from their respective teams and security.

And in the end, the brunette beauty and company were able to break it up just enough to help keep the peace before things got really nasty.

It appears that neither Kelly or McGregor ever landed a punch on the other during the row.

After MKG and Fox were led past the crowd, and things settled down a bit, McGregor was given his walking cane back.

McGregot later told Entertainment Tonight: ‘Absolutely nothing happened. I don’t know. He showed up, and I don’t know. I don’t know the guy.

Nothing happened with me, I only fight real fighters, people that actually fight, you know what I mean? I certainly don’t fight little vanilla boy rappers. I don’t even know the guy. I don’t know anything about him, except that he’s with Megan Fox.’

Before all the drama played out, the former featherweight and lightweight UFC champion soaked in the spotlight of the red carpet with his wife Dee Devlin, who wore a colorful, fitted dress.

While Machine Gun Kelly strutted his rockstar attitude with Fox, who nearly bared it all in a completely see-through dress.

Be a sheer delight like Megan in a dress by Mugler

After a quiet few months, this week has been a busy one on the celebrity circuit! New York Fashion Week, Venice Film Festival, amfAR’s charity dinner the MTV VMAs are among a few of the events attracting an A-list crowd and, with them, some gorgeous garments…

Megan Fox certainly caught our attention last night in this sheer delight of a dress by Mugler. Styled by Maeve Reilly, Megan’s beautiful midi is based on the barely-there dress worn by Hunter Schaffer for Mugler’s SS21 ready-to-wear show. The actress topped off her look with Jimmy Choo ‘Max 150’ platform heels and a smattering of Lorraine Schwartz jewelry. Dreamy, right?

Unfortunately us mere mortals can’t commission Mugler to make us a custom look (one can dream!) but we can shop the ready-to-wear collection at Farfetch by clicking (right).

Alternatively, emulate Megan with the help of the high-street. Our carousel (below) has a round-up of mesh lookalikes that are sure to do the job just as nicely!
