A serving Metropolitan Police officer has appeared in court charged with threats to kill, false imprisonment, assault and controlling behaviour. 

PC Isaque Rodrigues-Leite pleaded not guilty to the 12 counts in total at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.

The charges include six counts of false imprisonment, two counts of threats to kill, two counts of ABH, one count of coercive and controlling behaviour with fear of violence and one count of criminal damage.

The officer is attached to the Roads and Transport Policing Command.  

The court appearance follows an investigation by the South Area BCU.

PC Rodrigues-Leite was bailed and will next appear at Croydon Crown Court on November 14.

He has been suspended from duty pending the hearing.

Specialist officers are providing support to the victim and this will continue during and following the court process.
