Roberts claims she had sex with Prince Andrew in London and New York when she was 17 at the behest of his friend Epstein and on the American financier’s private Caribbean island a year later.

Prince Andrew says the pair never had sex and he has no memory of ever meeting her.

The 59-year-old disputes a photograph seemingly showing them together is real.

Last month, Roberts slammed the decision to redact Prince Andrew’s name from newly released court documents in the Ghislaine Maxwell case.

The unsealed court records from a 2016 deposition show Epstein told Maxwell to offer a reward to anyone who could discredit Roberts after she accused them of rape.

She told ABC: ‘I feel very angry.

‘I don’t understand why we are protecting someone who hides behind mummy’s skirt and says “I didn’t do it”. His name should have been out there in the deposition.’

Virginia Roberts was in bed with her husband in Cairns when she learnt about billionaire sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein’s death in a New York prison cell.

She wept when she learnt he would not be around to face justice for allegedly forcing her to have sex with his powerful friends including Prince Andrew.

But Ms Roberts told told Daily Mail Australia she had doubts her former abuser committed suicide.

‘I don’t know, man,’ the now 36-year-old said. ‘That’s a 50/50.’

‘But from who he was and to face the reality that he’s going to face the rest of his life in jail, it’s a big possibility.

‘That’s just personally speaking. It’s a 50/50.’

Epstein’s body was found in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Centre in Manhattan on August 10.

He had apparently hanged himself with a bed sheet and the medical examiner’s office ruled his death to be suicide.

A post mortem examination found Epstein had several broken bones in his neck, including the hyoid, fuelling conspiracy theories and speculation he was murdered.

The 66-year-old had been found on the floor of his cell suffering bruising to his neck on July 23 and was placed on suicide watch.

That level of surveillance was reportedly removed after a week but he was still supposed to be checked every half an hour.

The FBI and Justice Department are investigating his death, which was met by anger and disbelief from many who questioned how such a high-profile inmate could kill himself in a federal facility.

Ms Roberts has said Epstein’s death prevented him from committing further sexual crimes against minors but robbed those he had abused of justice.

‘We’ve worked so hard to get here and he stole that from us, too,’ she told the New York Times.
