Kate Ferdinand has welcomed her first child with husband Rio.
The former TOWIE star, 29, has given birth to a baby boy on Friday, just days before Christmas, after initially sharing their baby news in June earlier this year.
Rio and Kate are already father and stepmother to children Lorenz, 13, Tate, 11, and Tia, nine, from his marriage to his late wife Rebecca Ellison.

Kate has kept fans posted with her baby preparations – and growing baby bump – over the past few months on her Instagram page.
Kate revealed she was expecting her first child when she shared a sweet video to her Instagram where she sat down the children to tell them the baby news.
She captioned the announcement with: ‘The crazy house is about to get a little bit crazier … every time I watch this it makes me cry, the best reaction. Baby Ferdy we are all so excited to meet you.’
Kate and Rio later shared a fun collection of videos where their family discovered they were expecting a baby boy during a gender reveal.

The star has been candid during her journey and admitted that she had been struggling with the physical ailments of pregnancy in her third trimester.
In one update, Kate shared a photo of herself sitting on an exercise ball as she complained about back pain.
‘Help! This back pain is becoming unbearable’ she captioned the photo with the timestamp revealing she took the snap at 6:50am.
Kate cradled her bump as she tried to find comfort on her fitness ball while still in her PJs and slippers.

Kate has been open about how she has struggled with being a step-mum to Rio’s three children as well as being being pregnant while facing mental health battles.
In September, she candidly discussed battling anxiety and ‘really struggling’ during her first trimester on the Women’s Health Going for Goal podcast.
She said: ‘Lockdown has been an experience. Obviously I was pregnant and the children didn’t know, and something I’ve struggled with is being pregnant with my first biological child and still being a mum.

‘So I felt I had all these new experiences… but I was still a stepmother or mother figure to three kids. I struggle with my mental health. Being active helps day-to-day with my anxiety, so when I can’t do things, I struggle with it.’
She added: ‘I am quite emotional. I feel a little bit insecure. I feel like not like me, and I struggled with that for a little while… feeling insecure with just how I look and my changing body, and I know it sounds very superficial… but struggling how to dress for this… Everything that you know has changed.’
The star gave her first interview after announcing her pregnancy to MailOnline in June where she said she was ‘tired’ but ‘listening to her body’.
Talking about how her energy has changed since becoming pregnant, she said: ‘I think being pregnant it does change, you are a bit more tired at times but I try to stay active as it’s good for my mind.

‘We go for walks with the family, stuff like that, it doesn’t always have to be crazy exercise just as long as you’re moving more than you’re sitting, you still feel good.’
The star regularly posts her workouts with husband Rio to Instagram and they even have a Ferdinand Fitness YouTube channel.
Talking about whether her fitness regime would change during her pregnancy, Kate said: ‘I think you have to be really careful, take advice form professionals. I definitely don’t think it can stay the same, it has definitely changed.
‘I’m working out at a lot slower pace and taking it easy, listening to my body really.’

Kate also revealed that there could be a potential for future pregnancy workouts to help any of her followers who are also expecting a child.
She said: ‘Potentially in the future… obviously I’m not a personal trainer and I’m not qualified in that. It will just have to be the right advice going forward.
‘At the moment, I’m a bit quiet on social media, I’m just enjoying my time with the family and things like that before lockdown goes crazy again.’

The reality star embarked on a relationship with footballer Rio in 2017 and stepped back from TOWIE to become a mother figure for the trio, after his first wife, Rebecca, tragically passed away from breast cancer in 2015.
Rio proposed to Kate in November 2018 after almost two years of dating and the couple filmed a similar video to their baby announcement.
The former TOWIE star accepted a romantic rooftop proposal from the sports legend during a family holiday to Abu Dhabi.

In 2018, Kate revealed that Rio’s three children were keen for her to have a baby so they could have another sibling to play with.
