Ivanka Trump has been approached about writing a book about her time as White House advisor

Ivanka Trump has been approached about writing a book about her time as White House advisor, wants to begin her political career in Florida and is aiming to ‘set the record straight’, report claims

  • Ivanka Trump reportedly has been approached about writing a third book
  • The book would cover her time as President Trump’s advisor and ‘set the record straight’ about critics’ claims against her
  • Ivanka would also address the work she’s done with women’s issues in the book
  • She doesn’t have a book outline or proposal yet, as she is focusing on her family and her remaining time in the White House, sources said
  • Ivanka was also reported to be eyeing a political career, possibly in Florida

Ivanka Trump could write a book about her time as First Daughter and is contemplating a political career of her own in Florida, according to a new report.

A source told the New York Post that Ivanka has been ‘keeping extensive notes’ on the past four years she’s spent in President Trump‘s White House, acting as her father’s advisor.

These West Wing notes, the source told the newspaper, could be the basis of a third book – which she has apparently been approached about writing.

Trump has already written two books, 2009’s The Trump Card and 2017’s Women Who Work.

The source suggested that Ivanka’s potential interest in writing a third book would be because ‘She wants to set the record straight on a long list of issues, including confronting her critics head-on.’

Among the topics this book could address would be the notions that she was ‘out of her depth as the president’s adviser,’ as well as rumors that President Trump was sidelining her and the alleged tension between herself and Melania Trump, the source said.

Ivanka would also potentially write about ‘the very important things she got done with women’s issues, family leave and more.’

The also noted that if Ivanka were to write a third book, she would ‘address what she says is the targeting of her life and business by the liberal media, [Democratic] politicians and the New York attorney general.’

Two New York State fraud investigations have been launched into President Trump and the Trump Organization, concerning tax write-offs on millions of dollars in consulting fees, it was reported in November.

Some of those alleged fees were said to have been given to Ivanka.

Ivanka tweeted the fraud investigations were ‘harassment pure and simple’ and that ‘This “inquiry” by NYC democrats is 100% motivated by politics, publicity and rage.’

She also wrote: ‘This fishing expedition is very clearly part of a continued political vendetta.’

A second source told the New York Post that Ivanka’s ‘consequential role as a close adviser and daughter’ to President Trump has resulted in her being approached about writing a new book.

A third book is ‘one of the number of options available to her,’ the source said, but putting pen to paper on it ‘nowhere near top of mind or imminent’ for her right now.

‘Certainly no outlines or proposals,’ the source said, noting that Ivanka is ‘hyper-focused on her family, and the work she’s doing at the White House.’

The first source told the newspaper that Ivanka ‘wants’ a career in politics and that Florida – her new home base – could be where she seeks office in the future.

Ivanka and husband Jared Kushner bought a $30million property in Miami’s Indian Creek Island, the New York Post reported in early December.

The gated, private island is a popular place for celebrities to live, with a 13-man police force monitoring its 29 residences.

The decision to buy the property and move her residency to the state could pave the way for her to run for office in Florida when the Trump administration ends.

‘Ivanka definitely has political ambitions, no question about it,’ a source told CNN, following word of the Florida property purchase. ‘She wants to run for something, but that still needs to be figured out.’
