Psychologist flooded with support online after calling out ‘sexualisation’ of term ‘school girls’ 

A feminist psychologist has accused anyone who panders to a ‘sexy schoolgirl’ fantasy of enabling tje sexualisation of young girls. 

Dr Jessica Taylor, who grew up in Stoke-On-Trent, took to Twitter to share her findings after googling the terms ‘school boys’ and ‘school girls’, and found that young boys were pictured in smart uniforms while the results for girls were mostly adult women in sexy outfits. 

She said it revealed was a ‘blatant objectification and sexualisation of girls’ from a young age and blamed it on ‘porn culture’.

Her post, which has so far received more than three thousand likes, has been met with a wave of support from other social media users who said they were ‘angered and sickened’.

She wrote: ‘This is what you get when you google ‘school boy’ and then ‘school girl’. This is why we talk about the blatant objectification and sexualisation of girls. 

‘This is why we focus on the oppression and abuse of girls.’

She continued: ‘See how boys are allowed to just be kids at school? But look what porn culture has done to the image of the school girl. She’s just a child at school… or is she? 

‘Clearly not. Clearly, a school girl is a sex object, a fantasy, a costume for the male gaze.

She said the findings revealed was a ‘blatant objectification and sexualisation of girls’ from a young age and blamed it on ‘porn culture’

‘This is the sexualisation of female children who go to school. That’s what this is, in its simplest terms. This is why we do not accept that boys are abused, oppressed and sexualised on the same level or at the same rate as girls. It’s just not true.

‘School boy = little kid going to school to get an education, looking all smart.

‘School girl = lingerie dress up costumes for adults to pretend they are little girls at school and f*** each other whilst having fantasies about children.

‘If you’re a man who likes the sexy school girl stuff, you’re fantasising about sex with children. 

‘If you’re a woman who dresses up as a schoolgirl cos you think it’s sexy (or cos your partner asked/told you to) – have you realised that you’re dressing up as a child for sex?’

The post has since been met with a wave of support as one social media user wrote: ‘This angers and sickens me. Girls aren’t ever safe, not even when we grow up to become women.’

Another wrote: ‘Blimey! I thought I knew about the extent of objectification and sexualisation of girls, but I’m shocked…’ 

A third commented: ‘Wow, nobody can argue with that. Awful and so, so wrong. Will things ever change I wonder.’
