Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have broken their silence regarding their shock split, saying the two are still trying to save their relationship and denied claims there is a third party involved.
The Hollywood power couple left fans stunned Friday after it was announced they had called off their two-year engagement amid rumors the former Yankees shortstop had been chatting up Southern Charm star Madison LeCroy.
But Lopez and Rodriguez cleared the air on Saturday, telling TMZ: ‘All the reports are inaccurate. We are working through some things.’
The couple also dismissed cheating allegations, telling the tabloid that their troubles have nothing to do with a third party.
Sources say Lopez and Rodriguez finally called it quits over the former baseball star’s alleged relationship with LeCroy, 30.
Rodriguez’s links to reality star first came to light during a Southern Charm reunion in January when LeCroy was accused of having been in contact with a ‘married’ and ex-MLB player in Miami whose name had been bleeped out.

‘Never had any kind of anything’: Southern Charm star Madison LeCroy has now claimed she did indeed speak with Alex Rodriguez over the phone, but has never met him in person
She later admitted in an interview she had been communicating with Rodriguez but insisted their exchanges were ‘innocent.’ Reps for Rodriguez claimed the pair had never even met.
In the wake of the news Friday, LeCroy’s co-star Shep Rose also claimed LeCroy had signed a non-disclosure agreement, suggesting some damage control may have been done following their alleged communication.
‘I know that there was, like, an NDA signed, which doesn’t seem to mean anything anymore, not worth the price of the paper they’re printed on,’ Rose told UsWeekly .
‘It’s crazy and, you know, mixed emotions about it because I think our show started as fairly normal, humble people … your average small-town, Southern people.
‘And now it’s like, you know, DMing baseball stars and stuff and it’s all good. It’s not anybody’s fault, but it’s turned into something a little more cheesy than I would’ve liked, but that was bound to happen.’
Lopez and Rodriguez had appeared to have weathered the scandal, having attended the presidential inauguration together that same month and sharing sweet photos as recently as late February.
But sources say the rumors were the reason behind the it-couple’s shocking break up.
‘There were already problems, but Jennifer was really embarrassed by it,’ an insider told Page Six on Friday.
Explosive: The explosive allegations had originally occurred during a recent Southern Charm reunion where Madison, pictured, was accused of sleeping with an unidentified sports star to which she denied ever seeing the man in person, although she did admit to DM-ing him

According to People, J-Rod’s split had been a ‘long time coming’, while sources told UsWeekly that the couple had not seen each since March 1.
Jennifer and Rodriguez began dating in 2017 and announced their engagement in March 2019 during a getaway to the Bahamas where the athlete surprised her with a large diamond ring.
The pop star’s children had become very close to Rodriguez’s two daughters, Natasha, 14, and ten-year-old Ella, whom he shares with ex-wife Cynthia Rodriguez.
In 2018, Jennifer gushed their little ones ‘have become best friends’ and said she and Rodriguez ‘couldn’t have asked for anything better than the four of them getting along as they do.’
The last time Lopez and Rodriguez posted a photo together on social media was last month in the Dominican Republic.
‘They haven’t seen each other since then. There have been issues in their relationship for a while now,’ an insider told People.
‘They are tied in their business worlds so it’s not a cut and dry break up. It’s taken a while for them to even think about untangling it all.’
On Friday, Jennifer video called her ex-husband Marc Anthony and their crying daughter Emme, 13, on Friday after the split.
The singer, 51, took to her Instagram Story to share the emotional photo where she admitted: ‘When they are sad but momma and daddy are there.’
In the photo shared to her Instagram Story, Emme, whose twin brother Max was not pictured, could be seen crying into her father Marc’s arms as he comforted her.

The sporting star is said to be getting ready for baseball season while Jennifer has thrown herself into filming her latest movie in the Dominican Republic.
Rumors of Rodriguez’s infidelity emerged weeks earlier when LeCroy accused of sleeping with the unidentified sports star on television but she denied ever seeing the man in person, although she did admit to DM-ing him.
Suspicions arose that the person could have been Rodriguez, despite him not being married and only engaged at the time to Jennifer.
Later, Madison revealed in an interview with Page Six she had been in ‘innocent’ communication with Rodriguez but that they had ‘never met up’ and only ‘spoken on the phone’.
‘That’s the truth,’ the reality star claimed, clarifying they had ‘never been physical… never had any kind of anything. Just an acquaintance.’

Madison also insisted that Rodriguez had ‘never physically cheated’ on Jennifer with her and that their phone calls had been ‘inconsistent’ and ‘random’. The reality star would not reveal what was discussed.
She claimed that the name concealed was Rodriguez’s, but she was the one who requested his name withheld.
‘I have tried to be as quiet as possible. I don’t want anything bad for his family, or for mine. We are definitely innocent in this,’ she insisted. Madison would also not reveal when the alleged phone calls occurred.
Rumors spread within her inner circle because she ‘told the wrong person’ about who she had been in contact with. ‘All this stuff was a year ago [but] it’s being aired now,’ she explained.
However, a source with knowledge of the situation previously told DailyMail.com: ‘Alex has never met or spoken to Madison or anyone from the show.’
Madison was accused of getting intimate with a married former athlete. However, Rodriguez is not married, and has been engaged since 2019.
The identity of the individual was concealed, but Southern Charm star Danni Baird subsequently alleged on the Reality Life with Kate Casey that the person was Rodriguez.
DailyMail.com contacted Rodriguez and Madison’s representatives at the time, who did not respond to comment.

‘She had even told me that they were FaceTiming or something,’ Baird said on the show.
Meanwhile, a source for the New York Post also insisted Rodriguez did not know or hook up with Madison.
‘He doesn’t know this woman,’ the insider said. ‘Look, does this mean he didn’t DM her and liked a photo or two? I guess not, but he doesn’t know her — and he definitely didn’t hook up with her.’
However, eagle-eyed fans noticed at the time that Rodriguez had allegedly ‘liked’ several of Madison’s photos – only to unlike them.
One of the photos was a snap taken of Madison at the beach in July, and another was of her with her friends on New Year’s Eve.

Hitting back: However, a source with knowledge of the situation previously told DailyMail.com: ‘Alex has never met or spoken to Madison or anyone from the show.’
The former MLB allegations came to light during the recent Southern Charm reunion, where Craig Conover claimed LeCroy had flown to Miami to be with a married man.
‘You were flying around the country sleeping with married men, an ex MLB player! You flew to Miami to (expletive) an ex MLB player!’ Craig alleged.
Madison was adamant she had never seen the athlete in person and shot back with: ‘Put me on a lie detector test. I never flew to Miami. Tell me when I went to Miami. Where’s the record of that? That’s fake!’
Jennifer and Alex – who called each other Macha and Macho, respectively – had delayed their wedding twice citing it was due to lockdown from COVID-19.
She said last year: ‘We had to cancel the wedding… because of COVID, because of the quarantine. And we actually did it twice, which people don’t know.’
The Maid In Manhattan star told Allure magazine: ‘It was a big deal. We had been planning for months and months and months, and it was overseas. Maybe it wasn’t the right time.’
And the Hustlers actress said that she worried she and Alex won’t be able to ‘re-create’ their dream wedding after they were forced to put their plans on hold due to the pandemic.
She said: ‘We postponed the wedding twice. We had planned what we really, really wanted to do, [but] I don’t know if we’ll be able to re-create that. We cancelled it, and since then we haven’t really talked about it. There’s no rush.

‘We want to do it right when we can do it. We just have to wait to see where the world lands … Oh yeah, we’ve talked about [not getting married] for sure.
‘I mean at our age, we’ve both been married before, it’s like, do we get married? Do we not? What does it mean for us? And it’s just, it comes down to like personal, like, what do you want to do?’
The two have been living together for the past four years as they co-parent her twins Max and Emme and his daughters Natasha, 14, and ten-year-old Ella, whom he shares with ex-wife Cynthia Rodriguez.
Jennifer was imperviously wed to Ojani Noa from 1997 until 1998. She was then married to dancer Chris Judd from 2001 until 2003.
The star’s marriage to singer Marc Anthony lasted for 10 years, from 2004 until 2014. She previously dated Sean ‘Puff Daddy’ Combs in the late 90s while she was engaged to Ben Affleck in 2002.
