The Saudi Ambassador’s official London residence was targeted by suspected arsonists today after a fire was set outside the multi-million pound building and police arrested two men after a struggle.
Armed police were seen arresting two men before taking them away in handcuffs after an earlier incident at around 1.40pm.
A witness told MailOnline one of the men had thrown an object over the high gate in front of the building on Kensington Palace Gardens, setting several bushes on fire.

A security guard then came out of the residence to confront the men and there was a ‘punch up’, which left one of the guards with an injured eye, the witness said.
The incident unfolded just yards away from Kensington Palace, the home of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
The London Fire Brigade told MailOnline: ‘We were called to bushes alight at 1.41pm. It was under control by 1.50pm.
‘One fire engine attended and there were no reported injuries.’
